Professional Trainer Certificate (formerly the Group Training Certificate Course)
Course description The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). It covers the basic skills involved in the delivery of training courses to groups. The course is participatory and candidates will be expected to work in pairs and small groups in order to maximise learning practice. Summary of course syllabus
The course takes place over 4 days. After participating in the skills sessions each candidate will be required to plan & deliver a training session which is observed & assessed. - What is training? - training needs & learning objectives

What skills will candidates acquire? The course will give “hands-on” experience to candidates in the preparation & delivery of training sessions. Successful candidates will meet the “training skills” element of the criteria necessary to become registered with the CIEH to deliver specified CIEH courses.
