Assertiveness Training
Course description The course provides an opportunity for delegates to learn about the development of self-belief, without which it is difficult for individuals to represent themselves effectively. Delegates will be expected to participate in a series of exercises which will help them to understand how to be more assertive themselves, and how to help others represent their own interests more appropriately. The course takes place over a single day and all delegates will be supplied with attendance certificates. - Introduction & welcome to course (positive aspects about “myself”; learning goals for the course)
- Assertiveness & self-confidence (group work; assertive & non-assertive behaviour; assertive & aggressive behaviour)
- Relaxation and visualisation
- Assertiveness & self-awareness (voice work; being positive & negative)

What skills will candidates acquire? The course is non-threatening and allows delegates to explore areas of concern & to practice some of the techniques that will lead to increased self-esteem & confidence.
